Pilgrimage is not the same as tourism. A pilgrim visits specific location with the full knowledge of historical or theological importance of the location, and meditates, ponders, mentally explores those important aspects during the trip and during the stay at the pilgrimage destination.
KELEMEN LAJOS ABOUT CSOKFALVA AND THE UNITARIAN CHURCH
1. Belvárosi Unitárius Templom (Downtown Kolozsvar Unitarian Church): Location of the Round Stone of Dávid Ferenc. Site of Unitarian religious activities by many bishops from the 19th century until today.
To the right of the church you find the statue of Dávid Ferenc.
2. Szent Mihály Templom (St Michael Church) on Kolozsvar Main Square: This church was Unitarian until 1716; this is the site where Dávid Ferenc and Enyedi György preached to the Unitarian believers in the 1500s.
3. Óvári Iskola (Old-town Kolozsvar School Building of Franciscan Order). This was the living quarters for Queen Isabella, and the location of the Unitarian school where Dávid Ferenc and Enyedi György taught.
4. Katólikus Templom, Torda (Catholic Church of Torda). Location of the Transylvanian State Assembly (Diet) that declared the Edict of Torda in 1568). In those days this was a Unitarian church.
5. Emlékmű a Tordai Edictumnak (Memorial to the Edict of Torda). This bronze memorial was erected in 2018 at the 450th anniversary of the declaration of the Edict of Torda.
6. Bazilika Gyulafehérvárott (Basilica of Alba Julia). Resting place for King John Sigismund, II and Queen Isabella.
7. Dévai vár (Fortress of Deva). Site of imprisonment and martyr death of Dávid Ferenc in 1579.
